Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking Carpenters to join our Calgary-based team, focusing on concrete formwork, falsework, reinforcing, placing and finishing. The role requires reading drawings accurately and building to specifications on site.

The position involves the safe use of equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts and power tools, with supervision of labourers as needed. We offer RRSPs, benefits and professional training.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry with concrete formwork, falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and build to drawings/specifications.
• Must be able to operate safety equipment and tools and follow safety protocols.

Position Overview

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Supervise labourers and resources as required.

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.
