Job summary

Northern Rockies Lodge in British Columbia is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform maintenance, renovations and new builds at the lodge and surrounding sites. You will measure, cut, fit and install wood components, including foundations, floors, walls, windows and doors, while coordinating tasks with a small crew.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in carpentry, relevant certifications, and the physical resilience to work at heights, in dusty/confined spaces, and at a remote lodge location.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience in carpentry or related trades.
• Carpenter Trade Certification and Fall Arrest Training.
• Experience with on-site construction in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts conforming to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood and related materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, subflooring and erect walls/roofs.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites; supervise 1–2 workers.
• Estimate costs and materials; maintain and renovate structures.
