Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled carpenter to support construction projects across commercial and residential sites in Delta, BC. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, measure and cut materials, and supervise a crew of 3–4 workers on active sites.

This on-site position requires 2–3 years of construction experience, a college/CEGEP diploma, and the ability to work outdoors at heights. A health benefits plan is provided.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years construction experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Understand building codes and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
• Supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
