Job summary

RONA is seeking a Capacity Projection & Planning Analyst for a 15-month maternity leave replacement in Canada. The role focuses on long-range forecasting, capacity planning across the distribution network, and linking capacity needs to the financial plan.

You will collaborate with Finance, Merchandising, and Demand Planning to align capacity with business goals and work with technology teams to scale AI/ML models within TMS and WMS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
• Master’s degree considered an asset.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with AI/ML forecasting models applied to supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting and Volume Planning for distribution network.
• Develop and maintain medium- and long-term volume forecasts.
• Translate business strategies into planning assumptions.
• Monitor and analyze leading and lagging indicators.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Demand Planning, and Allocation teams.
• Convert volume forecasts into operational requirements (labour, warehousing, transportation).
• Identify capacity constraints and mitigation plans.
• Conduct what-if scenario analyses and sensitivity analyses.
• Develop process maps, RACI matrices, and decision calendars.
• Lead S&OP processes and coordinate stakeholders across departments.
• Prepare executive reviews and communications.
