Job summary

BC Liquor Distribution Branch in Burnaby is seeking an Assistant Manager, Cannabis Operations. You will support Store Manager in leading a major retail operation, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with policies.

The role involves developing annual store budgets, controlling costs, scheduling staff, hiring and training, and participating in labor relations matters. The position requires lifting and weekend shifts; travel within BC may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent, related experience as supervisor or manager on duty in a customer-facing retail operation.
• Must pass a criminal record check and the Selling it Right certificate.
• Experience in cannabis retail is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all facets of management of a major retail operation.
• Provide leadership and direction while controlling costs to maximize revenue.
• Develop annual store budgets and monitor performance.
• Hire, train, and develop staff; schedule assignments.
• Ensure customer service excellence and education to the public.
• Travel within British Columbia as required.
• Support Store Manager in operations during absences.
