Job summary

Canna Cabana in Alberta is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and lead daily store operations. You will oversee staffing, customer service, health and safety, inventory, schedule creation, and policy adherence.

The role requires 3+ years in retail, 2+ years in supervisory duties, and strong leadership and communication skills. SellSafe certification is mandatory for working in cannabis retail; First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• SellSafe Certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years retail experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in retail.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to train and motivate staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and assistance to store management and daily operations.
• Oversee duties in absence of Store Manager.
• Assist in staffing, interviews, promotions, performance reviews and disciplinary actions when requested.
• Direct and guide all store staff; ensure adherence to policies.
• Maintain store conditions, health & safety compliance, and inventory management.
• Create weekly staffing schedules to meet business needs.
• Communicate across departments to ensure alignment of expectations.
• Greet customers and uphold exemplary conduct.
• Respond to customer complaints and escalate when needed.
