Job summary

Canna Cabana in Calgary, part of High Tide Inc., is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff scheduling, customer service and health and safety.

The role requires at least 3 years retail experience and 2 years supervisory, SellSafe certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.

This full-time position offers growth opportunities within a leading cannabis retailer with 200+ locations in Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in retail.
• Must have valid SellSafe Certification.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated service orientation required.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills are required.
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required.
• Skills to monitor and assess staff performance are required.
• Basic office administration skills required.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to store management in supervising daily operations.
• Oversee Store Manager duties in their absence.
• Assist in delivering key personnel management tasks when requested.
• Provide direction and instruction to all store associates as required.
• Ensure store conditions meet established standards.
• Assist in creating weekly staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
• Liaise with departments to convey information and meet expectations.
• Greet and assist customers, modeling exemplary conduct.
• Ensure policies and health and safety regulations are upheld.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate as needed.
• Oversee inventory management.
