Job summary

Value Buds is hiring a Keyholder / Shift Lead for our cannabis retail team. You will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional service while guiding daily operations in a fast-paced store environment.

Ideal candidates have retail or hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and a cannabis selling certification. You may assist customers, manage merchandising, and ensure compliance with regulations during shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, customer service or hospitality.
• Strong communication and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age per province (18/19+).
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Authorized to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.
