Job summary

Walmar in Napanee, ON is seeking an Overnight Stocking Team Lead to assist in leading overnight stocking teams and department processes. You will respond to problems, train associates, and support store operations on the salesfloor as needed.

You will plan and execute department activities based on workload, coordinate priorities from management, and help maintain a secure, orderly store environment while contributing to overall sales floor performance.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and coordinates task completion per priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Assesses store department presentation and appearance, notes deficiencies, and executes merchandising display changes as required.
• Maintains strong communication with associates, leads daily Team Huddle, shares updates, sets goals, and tracks productivity.
• Ensures high-ticket merchandise is secured, doors and lockups are secured when not in use, and completes daily audits.
• Reviews completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tours areas with Coach and team to identify training opportunities and develops associates through teaching and feedback.
• Promotes a safe, clean, hazard-free environment by following policy, completing safety sweep logs, and securing displays/fixtures.
• Completes GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
• Partners with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance and growth conversations; supports recruitment and hiring.

Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.4. Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.5. Review completed schedules with People Lead. 6. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.7. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.8.
