Job summary

Walmart in Napanee, ON is seeking an Overnight Stocking Lead to help oversee overnight stocking teams and department processes, respond to problems, and develop associates through teaching and training.

You will plan and execute department activities based on workload, assist on the sales floor when needed, and lead daily huddles, ensuring safety and accurate audits. This role starts at a base hourly rate with pathways for growth.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing direction and co-ordination of task completion as per priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Assesses overall presentation of store departments and appearance, notes deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes.
• Ensures strong communication with associates, leads daily Team Huddle at start of shift, provides updates, sets goals and tracks productivity.
• Ensures high-value merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secure when not in use and completes daily audits.
• Reviews completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team to identify training opportunities and develops associates through feedback.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard-free environment per company policy, including safety sweep logs and secure displays/fixtures.
• Completes GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
• Partners with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance growth conversations for Associates; supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

What you'll do...

1. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.
2. Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
3. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
4. Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.
5.Review completed schedules with People Lead.
6. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities.Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
7. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
8. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
9. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.20.
