Job summary

Walmart Canada in Courtenay, BC is seeking a Maintenance Cleaning associate to participate in a structured cleaning program and help control expenses while maintaining a clean and safe shopping and working environment.

You will coordinate with the Stocking 3 Coach, follow food safety and cold chain guidelines, and perform cleaning across Fresh Departments, equipment checks, and required in-store certifications.

This role requires 18+ and offers an hourly wage starting at CAD 18.70.

• Complies with all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Executes timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments include coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Assist in the inspection all maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and ensures sufficient supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring completion of required in-store certification programs and work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures
• When required, clean floors following a system of; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets, including all non-sales floor areas.
