Job summary

Walmar in Rimouski, QC is seeking a leadership role to help drive General Merchandise and Fashion through partnership with the GM Fashion Assistant Manager and Store Management, ensuring top customer service and task completion.

Responsibilities include directing merchandising, coordinating daily tasks, maintaining presentation standards, scheduling support, training associates, and upholding a safe, clean store environment per company policies.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and promoting products/services.
• Direct and coordinate tasks per priorities from the GM Fashion Assistant Manager and Store Management Team.
• Assess department presentation and merchandising, noting deficiencies and implementing changes.
• Delegate and follow up on daily Customer Availability tasks and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
• Assesses the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.
• Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support with scheduling as needed.
• Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Participates in the training and development of the General Merchandise and Fashion Associates , and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
