Job summary

Walmart Canada in Rimouski, QC is seeking a General Merchandise and Fashion Associate to help lead department processes and deliver high levels of customer service. You will collaborate with the GM/Fashion Assistant Manager and Store Management Team to ensure task completion and a positive shopping experience.

The role involves directing daily tasks, maintaining presentation standards, assisting with scheduling and staffing, and supporting training to strengthen team performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, promoting products/services, locating merchandise, helping customers make decisions, resolving issues and referring concerns as appropriate.
• Assist in directing and coordinating daily tasks per priorities from the GM/Fashion Assistant Manager and Store Management Team.
• Assess overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, note deficiencies, and implement merchandising display changes as needed.
• Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support scheduling as needed.
• Assign associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Participate in training and development of the GM and Fashion Associates and provide feedback as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, clean and hazard-free work environment through adherence to company policy and ensuring displays/fixtures are secure and debris-free.

Position Summary...

To assist in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes through partnership with the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.

• Job Responsibility #1 Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Job Responsibility #2 Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
• Job Responsibility #3 Assesses the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.
• Job Responsibility #4 Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks
• Job Responsibility #5 Support with scheduling as needed.
• Job Responsibility #6 Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Job Responsibility #7 Participates in the training and development of the General Merchandise and Fashion Associates , and provides feedback as needed.
• Job Responsibility #8 Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
