Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking an in-store associate to assist leadership of Digital department processes, greet customers, promote products, and support daily operations at the Smiths Falls location. You will help coordinate tasks, supervise coverage, and contribute to a safe, clean environment while supporting recruiting and training activities.

The role starts with a minimum hourly rate of $20.85 and includes opportunities to engage with coaching and team huddles to drive performance and growth

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Digital Fulfillment Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily picking and dispensing tasks.
• Assesses the overall presentation of Departments and instock, noting deficiencies for corrective action.
• Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates, validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.
