Job summary

Walmar in Mississauga, ON is hiring to assist in leading the Digital department processes and to provide exceptional customer service on the sales floor. You will respond to inquiries, promote products, and help with task completion while coordinating department activities and team huddles.

The role includes training and development of associates, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and supporting management with scheduling and human resources processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, promoting products/services, locating merchandise and assisting purchase decisions.
• Assist in directing and coordinating daily tasks per priorities from leadership; delegate, assist and follow up on picking and dispensing tasks.
• Assess department presentation and stock levels; identify deficiencies for corrective action.
• Lead daily Team Huddle; communicate updates, set goals and track productivity.
• Review and coordinate schedules with People Lead; assign associates for coverage and availability.
• Identify training opportunities and develop associates through teaching and feedback.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment following policy; ensure displays are secure and debris-free.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support Management; assist recruitment and hiring.
• Support performance growth conversations and recruitment efforts as needed.

Position Summary...Assists in the leadership of the Digital department processes, responds to problems and inquiries and develops associates through teaching and training . Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.What you'll do...1. Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.2. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Digital Fulfillment Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily picking and dispensing tasks.3. Assesses the overall presentation of Departments and instock, noting deficiencies for corrective action.4. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.5. Review completed schedules with People Lead.6. Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.7. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates, validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.8. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.9. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.10. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates.
