Job summary

Walmart Canada in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Frontline Associate to help lead the Digital department processes, assist on the salesfloor, and train associates to deliver a high level of customer service.

Starting hourly rate is $21.20, with opportunities to grow as you contribute to scheduling, coaching, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, promote products, locate merchandise, resolve issues and refer concerns.
• Coordinate daily tasks and delegate to associates, following priorities from leadership.
• Monitor department presentation and in-stock levels, identify and communicate deficiencies.
• Lead daily huddle, share updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Assist scheduling and coverage, support GTA/Workday tasks.
• Support recruiting and onboarding of new associates.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment and adherence to policies.

Position Summary…

Assists in the leadership of the Digital department processes, responds to problems and inquiries and develops associates through teaching and training . Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.

Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

What you'll do…

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Digital Fulfillment Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily picking and dispensing tasks.
• Assesses the overall presentation of Departments and instock, noting deficiencies for corrective action.
• Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates, validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.20.
