Job summary

Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a Café Kitchen Steward on a fixed-term basis to maintain clean, safe, and organized kitchen, storage, and service areas at the Saint John Refinery.

You will support daily food service activities, manage sanitation, and contribute to a positive, branded employee experience. The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years in food service is an asset, and you will work Monday to Friday, 6:00 am–3:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen and storage areas, tables, tools, knives, shelving, and equipment.
• Ensure clean wares are stored in proper areas and returned to storage.
• Send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
• Empty, clean, and maintain trash cans.
• Clean, sweep, and mop all kitchen and serving areas.
• Record daily logs and report maintenance needs.
