Previous experience as a dishwasher, steward, or in a professional kitchen preferred
Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
Ability to stand and work on your feet for long periods of time
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and handle medium to heavy physical work
Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and noisy environment
Ability to safely use and maintain kitchen equipment and cleaning tools
Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including overnights, weekends, and holidays
Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently; wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishware, cookware, and utensils
Hand-wash delicate or specialty items as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish areas, storage spaces, and service stations
Empty and clean trash bins; replace liners as needed
Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors and surrounding areas
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and appliances daily
Polish stainless steel, glassware, and silverware to ensure a pristine presentation
Organize and store clean equipment and utensils in designated areas
Assist with kitchen deep-cleaning projects (vents, ovens, walk-ins, drains, etc.)
Monitor dish machine operation and report any maintenance or temperature issues to a supervisor
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Support the kitchen team with additional tasks during busy periods (e.g., unloading deliveries, restocking supplies)
Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor at all times
