Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Business System Analyst to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specs, use cases, and data models.

The role supports cost/benefit analysis and applies rigorous system analysis across interfaces and data flows. The candidate will elicit and manage requirements from stakeholders, apply Agile methodologies, map processes, and identify improvement opportunities in existing systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in eliciting, documenting and managing requirements from stakeholders.
• Experience with agile frameworks and project delivery.
• Ability to map business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvements.
• Strong system analysis skills and understanding of data flows and business rules.
• Ability to think critically and engage with stakeholders to align on goals.
• Familiarity with Clarity as a user; development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain documentation: BRDs, functional specs, use cases, process maps and data models.
• Support value release cost/benefit analysis.
• Apply system analysis techniques to evaluate components, interfaces and data flows.
• Elicit and manage requirements from stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply Agile methodologies to enable effective project delivery.
• Map business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze existing systems to identify enhancement or new solution opportunities.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.

JOB SUMMARY

Business System Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, process flows (current state and future state) and data models.
• Support the development of value release cost / benefit analysis.
• Expert knowledge of system analysis process and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows and business rules.
• Experience and comfort level with Clarity as a User but best would be as a developer
• Requirements Management – ability to elicit, document and manage requirements from stakeholders.
• Agile Methodologies – Knowledge of agile frameworks and methodologies for project delivery.
• Process Mapping and Analysis – Understanding and mapping business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• System Analysis – Ability to analyze existing systems and identify areas for improvement or new solutions.
• Critical Thinking – Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and make sound judgments.
• Stakeholder Management – Ability to engage with stakeholders, understand their needs, and ensure alignment on project goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and comfort level with Confluence and JIRA; knowledge of enterprise data pipelines.
