Job summary

Epsilon Solutions Ltd. is seeking a technically strong Business Systems Analyst to independently analyze source and target systems, define detailed data mappings, and document business and technical requirements. You will support solution design, development, integration, and testing.

You will gather, analyze, validate, and document requirements, develop mappings, and collaborate with architects, vendors, and QA teams to ensure end-to-end data flows and STP readiness.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, data, and technical requirements.
• Develop detailed field-level mappings covering data types, transformation and derivation rules, validations, dependencies, and exception handling.
• Analyze application architecture, databases, APIs, batch processing, file transfers, interfaces, and end-to-end upstream/downstream data flows.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, identify manual touchpoints and process gaps, and define automation requirements to enable end-to-end Straight-Through Processing (STP).
• Identify functional gaps, data discrepancies, integration gaps, manual processes, and required system enhancements.
• Use SQL to analyze source and target data, validate mappings and business rules, perform data reconciliation, and support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with solution designers, developers, and QA teams on solution design, estimation, SIT/UAT, defect analysis, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• Work closely with business partners, architects, vendors, and upstream/downstream application teams to clarify requirements, dependencies, and integration impacts.
• Produce clear, accurate, complete, and development-ready specifications with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Analysis: Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, data, and technical requirements.
• Source-to-Target Mapping: Develop detailed field-level mappings covering data types, transformation and derivation rules, validations, dependencies, and exception handling.
• System & Integration Analysis: Analyze application architecture, databases, APIs, batch processing, file transfers, interfaces, and end-to-end upstream/downstream data flows.
• Business Process Analysis & Automation: Document current-state and future-state processes, identify manual touchpoints and process gaps, and define automation requirements to enable end-to-end Straight-Through Processing (STP).
• Gap Analysis: Identify functional gaps, data discrepancies, integration gaps, manual processes, and required system enhancements.
• SQL & Data Analysis: Use SQL to analyze source and target data, validate mappings and business rules, perform data reconciliation, and support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Development & Testing Support: Collaborate with solution designers, developers, and QA teams on solution design, estimation, SIT/UAT, defect analysis, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business partners, architects, vendors, and upstream/downstream application teams to clarify requirements, dependencies, and integration impacts.
• Independent Delivery: Produce clear, accurate, complete, and development-ready specifications with minimal supervision.

Technical Documentation

The BSA should be able to create and maintain:

• Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM)
• Interface Specification Documents (ISD)
• Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
• Business Rules and Gap Analysis
• Data, System, and Process Flow Diagrams
• Test Scenarios and Acceptance Criteria

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking, wealth management, or financial services.
• Strong technical analysis and data-mapping experience.
• Working knowledge of mainframe systems, DB2, and legacy application integrations.
• Familiarity with ETL, data migration, APIs, batch processing, reconciliation, and process automation.
• Experience working across modern and legacy technologies and complex upstream/downstream integrations.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Agile delivery methodologies, and AI-assisted analysis/documentation tools.

The successful candidate must be able to independently understand existing applications, data flows, integrations, and business processes; identify gaps and automation opportunities; and translate business needs into clear, complete, development-ready technical specifications.
