We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team!

Packetlabs was built by an ethical hacker after seeing vulnerability assessments presented as penetration tests. We are a passionate team of highly trained, proactive, ethical hackers. We provide expert-level penetration testing services that are thorough and tailored to help foster a safe digital space where everyone has the right to privacy and security. At Packetlabs, we know that a high-performing sales team is the key to sustained, consistent growth. That’s why we’re seeking a qualified Business Development Representative (BDR) to uncover and qualify potential clients who could benefit from working with us. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process. They excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up Account Executives for success. The BDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and the ability to showcase our services compellingly.

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Drive new business by generating and qualifying leads through strategic outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, phone, and social selling).
  • Craft outreach that is so personalized, relevant, and insightful that it is too hard to ignore.
  • Leverage investor reports, strategy documents, and company earnings calls to create messaging that resonates with executive buyers.
  • Engage decision-makers and build relationships through consultative selling approaches.
  • Book and qualify meetings using the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) framework to determine fit.
  • Work closely with Account Executives (AEs) to understand won business, the factors that drove the deal, and how the client achieved success.
  • Use insights from won deals to identify and source additional related clients in similar industries or with shared pain points.
  • Track key performance metrics (response rates, meetings set, opportunities created) and ensure all activity is logged in our CRM.
  • Continuously refine outreach strategies based on data, coaching, and market feedback.
  • Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends to have informed conversations with CISOs, IT leaders, and security professionals.
  • Learn, understand and embrace the culture and core values of Packetlabs.

What You Bring :

  • 2+ years experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or similar outbound sales roles.
  • Proven track record of exceeding lead generation and meeting-setting goals.
  • Experience selling security, SaaS, or IT services (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills – ability to craft persuasive messaging across LinkedIn, email, and phone.
  • Familiarity with outbound prospecting tools.

  • Daily New Prospects → You consistently add and research high-quality leads (10+ per day).
  • Follow-ups Per Prospect → You execute at least 5 strategic touchpoints per lead (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
  • Response Rate (20%) → Your outreach gets prospects engaged in conversations.
  • Meeting Conversion (30%) → Your messaging leads to booked discovery calls.
  • Opportunity Creation (50%) → You qualify and transition half of your meetings into sales opportunities.
  • Ability to translate outbound sales metrics (KPIs) into revenue impact.
