Job summary

Intertek in Canada is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Industry Services team in Western Canada. This role focuses on expanding the client base and growing revenue through strategic market development and superior service delivery.

You will identify new markets, engage with clients, and drive sales in the petroleum testing sector, while upholding Intertek's safety and quality standards. Travel across Western Canada is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years Account Management/Sales experience in the Petroleum testing industry.
  • Ability to develop professional materials for presentation to the clients.
  • Knowledge of the Petroleum testing industry.
  • Ability to develop SWOT analysis for existing and prospective clients.
  • Model Intertek's 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right way.
  • Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and evaluates new markets and new clients for existing services.

  • Resolve client service-related issues.
  • Participate in trade events.
  • Regularly meet with existing clients with the goal of penetrating further with Intertek services.
  • Maintains pipeline and backlog allocations within I-Connect.
  • Generates monthly sales activity logging through client tracking system.
  • Implements client specific action plans.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Other duties related to the above, as assigned
  • Carrying out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with total adherence to: the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, Quality Management System, Compliance and Ethics Policies, Vision, Mission and Strategy, and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy.
