Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 plus commission.

Position Overview

Our Business Development Managers (BDMs), based in designated labs, focus on customer-centric growth, building relationships to foster trust and loyalty. They develop and execute sales strategies to retain existing clients, expand into new channels, identify new regional customers, and exceed sales targets annually. Each BDM is provided with a customer list and is responsible for engaging proactively, recognizing opportunities, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Success requires a strong understanding of customer needs, a relationship-building passion, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset. This role reports to the Regional Sales leader.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field

New Customer Acquisition

  • Manage leads within assigned regions, with discretion on pursuit or transfer

Strengthen Lab Relationships

  • Maintain positive relationships with Lab Managers and team members
  • Visit customers with Lab Managers to foster loyalty and showcase expertise
  • Coordinate with Lab Managers and team to maximize customer service and business expansion
  • Participate in internal reviews and report on portfolio status and revenue projections

Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Utilize Salesforce for sales and customer data management
  • Maintain data accuracy and generate performance reports

Territory Management

  • Oversee sales activities within assigned regions, providing feedback and insights

Team Building

  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve retention and growth goals

Travel

  • Occasional national travel outside the region and regular travel within the region required
