Business Development Manager - Full Time Remote (Greater Toronto Area, Ontario)

As a key member of the Business Development team, you will utilize your initiative, drive, and business acumen to promote and develop new business and grow the existing customer base as per the sales strategy. Responsibilities :

  • Drive regional growth through the development of existing clients and the acquisition of new clients.
  • Manage and develop current customer base, including Brokers, Insurers, and Corporate Canada.
  • Manage and develop new customer accounts, including Brokers, Insurers, and Corporate Canada.
  • Monitor financial performance, including expense management and receivables.
  • Communicate with clients to identify customer service standards, variances, and feedback; coordinate resolution of variances within the regional team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of National Account Management.
  • Maintain flexibility regarding travel, including overnight trips, and participate in our CAT team, which may include deployment to assist customers in other provinces.

Qualifications :

  • A degree in Business or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in account management.
  • 5 years of experience in Claims and Property or Casualty is preferred.
  • Relationships on the claims side are a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills; quick and accurate communication via email, mail, or phone is essential.

Environment / Work Conditions :

  • Regular travel within the region is required, including outside of regular business hours.
