Business Development Manager / Richmond BC

120,000.00-$130,000.00 base salary / company car / Benefits

Note: This is an in-office position

Our client, a long-established business in the construction materials supply industry, is in need of an experienced and seasoned sales representative with extensive knowledge of residential and commercial doors, hardware, and related equipment. The focus is on multi-family projects.

This role is critical in allowing the company to expand their market presence by creating new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with key clients. This is a new role.

The job
  1. Develop and implement business development strategies focusing on multi-family projects.
  2. Create and maintain strong relationships with developers and contractors.
  3. Leverage all opportunities to maximize efforts.
  4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to streamline the process throughout each project.
  5. Stay up to date on industry trends and competitors.
  6. Prepare and deliver strong and compelling presentations to enhance the company's image and service/product offerings.
  7. Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding personal and corporate goals.
  8. Regular reporting of progress, wins, and shortfalls.
Who you are / what you need
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with doors, hardware, and associated products.
  2. Solid understanding of divisions 8 and 10.
  3. Strong track record of proven successes.
  4. A natural relationship builder.
  5. Exemplary communication skills.
  6. A strong and effective negotiator.
  7. Possess an analytical mindset. Know what it all means.
