Job description

GTApreneurs Inc. is a business networking and coaching company founded by Tammy Defoe, dedicated to helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. They offer virtual business networking events, exclusive business coaching and referral networking groups, guest speaking opportunities, private coaching, and a public speaking course for professionals. The company operates across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) hosting monthly networking events with food, beverages, networking opportunities, guest speakers, elevator pitches, and team trivia challenges.

Role Description

Perform a variety of functions for GTApreneurs including business development, meaning connecting with prospects over the phone, social media, email, video call, and in-person, and converting them into clients; assisting with events remotely and in-person; answering prospect inquiries by email and other methods; attending other organizations networking events virtually and in-person; booking meetings for GTApreneurs President; checking over GTApreneurs’ Virtual Assistant’s work; possible project management work; other tasks as they arise.

• Part-time, average of 20 hours per week to start. Potential for full-time hours.
• Some scheduled shifts, other hours would be spent meeting with potential clients (prospects) over video call at the times that are convenient for the Associate and the prospect between Monday and Friday daytime or early evening, up to 6pm only.

Work Location :

• Hybrid position – some work from home, some work in person in Toronto, York region and other parts of the GTA.

Remuneration :

• 20.00 / hour + 4% vacation pay + 10% commission to start
• Potential for a raise after 12 weeks
• GTApreneurs may provide health and dental insurance benefits in the future

Opportunities for Growth :

• As the company scales, GTApreneurs will require assistance with some managerial duties, and eventually need to hire a Manager, which may be open for this candidate to move into.

Resource Requirements :

• Employee must have and use his / her / their own computer, internet service, phone and phone service to work in this position, at his / her / their own expense. Tax deductions may be possible, check with your tax professional.
• Employee is required to travel to the designated work locations when applicable at his / her / their own expense.

Social Media :

• To book meetings for Tammy Defoe, the Associate will use Tammy’s social media accounts
• After successful completion of the probationary period or before, the Associate will be required to use his / her / their social media accounts for prospecting and promoting GTApreneurs’ services.
