Job Title: Intermediate Business Analyst

We are seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team of skilled professionals. A Business Analyst should possess strong people and communication skills. The role requires a self-starter who goes above and beyond, with a passion for software and customer service. Key qualities include:

  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly.
  • Independence and keen attention to detail.
  • Diplomacy and tact in communication, including responding to resistance and criticism.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Positive attitude and optimism.
Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Idea to implementation of new features and modules within our software products.
  • Collaborating with clients to gather functional requirements for software enhancements and new features.
  • Developing software requirements for developers and clients.
  • Providing cost estimates for new features.
  • Ensuring clear understanding of requirements with the development team and monitoring project progress.
  • Working with QA to develop testing environments.
  • Coordinating with Training and Support teams for product knowledge transfer.
  • Managing software releases and regression testing.
  • Analyzing issues reported by clients to determine causes.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Documenting issues and requests in tracking tools.
  • Developing and delivering presentations for training and education.
Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or equivalent experience, plus post-secondary education.
  • Certifications such as Product Management, Business/System Analysis, or Project Management are assets.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of two years in Systems or Business Analysis roles.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of SDLC and software documentation.
  • Basic to intermediate web development and database knowledge.

Additional Assets:

  • Bilingual (French or Spanish).
  • Experience with Axure, SQL Server, or customer service background.
  • Project management skills.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours/week). Hours are flexible, but must align with client hours. Remote work is supported within Canada; limited short-term remote outside Canada. Office located in Markham, Ontario, with amenities nearby.

Health benefits, profit sharing, RRSP matching. Salary range: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience.
