Job description

Position Title: Business Analyst

Location: Regina, SK

Overview:

Charter is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team starting July 2025. This role will mainly support a business transformation project involving replacement of legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years as a Business Analyst with experience on business transformation projects. Previous experience preparing a business for change: conducting organizational readiness activities, facilitating business process model discovery, planning workshops, and requirements gathering sessions, to elicit business and technical requirements with an emphasis of understanding the business priorities. CBAP certification is a mandatory requirement. Location: Regina, SK (Onsite). Term: 24 months. Possibility of extension until project(s) are completed.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with PMs, SMEs, 3rd party vendors, deployment teams, and the Application Management Services Team.
• Coach and mentor business SMEs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Document Use Cases based on Business Process and Workflow Models.
• Elicit, document, manage and communicate functional and non-functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify solution(s) meet requirements and quantify benefits/costs of each solution.
• Create and document feasibility studies, business cases, technical assessments, RFX. requirements, project charters, user manuals, system manuals, policies, processes, and procedures, etc.
• Create, coordinate, and execute test scripts, to verify that system and business applications meet specific requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8+ years as a Business Analyst with experience on business transformation projects.
• Education: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification. (Mandatory)
• Experience preparing the business for change by conducting organizational readiness activities.
• Experience participating and facilitating business process model discovery and planning workshops and requirements gathering sessions to elicit business and technical requirements with an emphasis of understanding the business priorities.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to various levels within an organization.
• Experience preparing project documents including, but not limited to, testing plans, use cases and user stories based on business processes.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and translating into business rules.
• Experience defining and outlining the scope of the business problem, opportunity, business outcome and identifying solution alternatives.
• Experience coordinating and executing test scripts and utilizing formal testing methodologies to verify that system and business applications meet specific requirements
• Experience in creating, planning, and executing testing strategies and in leading business subject matter expert through the process of User Acceptance Testing.
• Experience developing training, training materials and facilitating training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
