Job summary

The Northeast Regional Housing Authority in Creighton, SK is hiring a full-time Building Services, Level 1 to join our team. You will help ensure housing units are rent-ready by performing minor repairs, assist with cleaning, groundskeeping, and general maintenance tasks.

Candidates should have Grade 12 education and basic computer skills, be available for on-call emergencies including evenings and weekends, hold a valid driver's license with a clean record, and be able to work with management,

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education and basic computer skills, plus experience in a maintenance/repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
• Ability to participate in a regular, continuous on‑call program for emergencies, including evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
• A valid driver's license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment

Responsibilities

• Ensure housing units are rent ready by undertaking minor repairs
• Assist with garbage removal and janitorial duties
• Groundskeeping, including grass cutting and snow removal
• Assist maintenance staff with routine and preventative maintenance tasks

The Northeast Regional Housing Authority is located in the community of Creighton, and also serves the surrounding communities of Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, and Sandy Bay. We are currently recruiting a full-time permanent Building Services, Level 1 to join our team in Creighton. The Position:

This position is responsible to:

• Ensure housing units are rent ready by undertaking minor repairs
• Assist with garbage removal and janitorial duties
• Groundskeeping, including grass cutting and snow removal
• Assist maintenance staff with routine and preventative maintenance tasks

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Knowledge of the basic techniques in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
• Ensure day to day operations are handling promptly and effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 education and basic computer skills, supplemented with some experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
• Ability to participate in a regular, continuous on call program for emergencies, including evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
