Job summary

Autismservices is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, respond to resident requests, and coordinate basic repairs and safety checks. The role includes grounds upkeep, safety monitoring, and on-call availability for emergencies, supporting a safe living environment for residents.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in facilities maintenance, strong systems knowledge, and a Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in building or facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire panels, mechanical controls).
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor to moderate repairs independently.
• Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate is required.
• Valid Class 5 driver''s license; additional safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, confined space) are an asset.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual work.
• Organized, safety-conscious, and a strong problem solver.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable using basic computer programs for work tasks.
