You will read blueprints, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with contractors to ensure reliable operation. On-site work includes exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Maintenance/repair experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Install machinery and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• Fabricate parts during overhaul, maintenance or set-up.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• Operate machinery and hoisting equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
