Overview

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair tasks at our motel located in Burnaby, BC. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
• Empty trash cans and waste containers.
• Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• Advertise vacancies and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Language: English.
