Job summary

BLUE BELL INN LTD is seeking a reliable maintenance/janitorial professional to perform daily housekeeping and upkeep at the on-site motel in British Columbia. Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, safety checks and seasonal grounds work.

Candidate should have 1–2 years of experience, own transportation, and be comfortable working with minimal supervision. On-site housing options and free parking are available; English language proficiency required and basic security clearance

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work on-site and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Make minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• Perform minor appliance repairs.
• Perform safety and security checks.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Paint and drywall repairs.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and gardens.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
• Basic security clearance required.
• Must have own transportation.
• Work under pressure; physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling.
