Job summary

Houle is hiring a Controls Service Technician to support our Burnaby or Victoria offices. You will develop system designs, program and commission building automation control systems, and collaborate with project managers and field staff.

Requirements include 3+ years in HVAC design and 2 years on-site commissioning, plus experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks and networking. English fluency is essential; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

3+ years direct experience designing and programming HVAC systems.
2 years' experience in onsite commissioning of HVAC control systems.
Experience with MS-Visio/MS-Office & mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Experience with networking, setting up Windows Server, configuring routers and switches.
Knowledge of control system design, programming, and electrical control wiring methods.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree/Diploma.
Working knowledge of Reliable Control and/or Schneider EcoStruxure is an asset.
Well organized team player with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Able to speak, read and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

Engineering, programming, designing, and commissioning of building automation systems.
Integrating various systems such as chillers, boilers, and lighting panels.
Data acquisition.
Handle calibration of temperature and humidity sensors.
Train building operators.
Select and size control equipment to meet project requirements.
