Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Canada seeks a skilled HVAC Controls Technician in the York Region/Richmond Hill area to perform preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of building control systems, ensuring reliability and energy efficiency for client facilities.

You will troubleshoot complex controls issues, document work, and communicate clearly with customers on-site, while upholding safety standards and contributing to project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduation or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building control systems and provide troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Communicate with customers on-site, document work, and propose system enhancements or retrofits.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient execution and on-time delivery.
