Job summary

Johnson Controls Canada is seeking a skilled technician to perform system commissioning of HVAC and building controls on customer sites. You will load controller software, diagnose basic electrical and mechanical issues, and respond to warranty calls.

You will document commissioning steps, communicate with management and customers, and maintain safety standards while completing on-site administration.

Qualifications

• Vocational school or associate degree in a technical field or two years’ experience.
• Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication with customers on site.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Knowledge of building automation and control theory.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and tools.
• Solve basic HVAC electrical and mechanical issues.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Load system controller software and calibrate sensors.
• Document commissioning and as-built information.
• Maintain safety and complete required safety training.
