Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a client in Kimberley with a Broadband Network Administrator role. You will manage, monitor and optimize a growing broadband network delivering high speed internet to residential and business customers in the Northern Cape region.

You will handle routing, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP, and network security while providing customer and internal support. A Diploma/degree in IT or CS and at least 4 years of ISP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in IT, CS or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years in network administration, preferably broadband/ISP.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF), DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic and DSL technologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently in Kimberley.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain broadband network equipment including routers, switches and access points.
  • Monitor network performance and identify issues to ensure optimal service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
