Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive IT Network Technician to support telecommunications infrastructure in Kimberley. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network hardware and software to ensure reliable operations for end-users.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' hands-on IT network experience, understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on IT network support experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and basic routing.
• Experience with major network hardware vendors is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, access points).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for wired and wireless users.
• Perform routine network maintenance and security patching.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues before impact.
• Assist in implementing network projects and upgrades under senior guidance.
• Provide support and guidance to end-users on network-related queries.
