CGIC, part of The Co-operators Group, seeks a Technical Claims Supervisor to lead a Bodily Injury unit. You will coach staff, drive service excellence and ensure compliant claims handling across jurisdictions.

The role emphasizes autonomy, resiliency, and policy interpretation to guide settlements and reserve decisions. Responsibilities include staff development, resource planning, and collaboration with leadership to maintain a high-performance environment and superior client experience.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in claims, insurance, or related business.
• Post-secondary education required.
• Pursuing FCIP or CIP is preferred.
• Successful experience in coaching, developing and leading others with autonomy and resiliency.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies and claims handling practices across provincial jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the unit operations and staff to achieve claims objectives.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to staff.
• Deliver superior client service and ensure adherence to claims handling guidelines.
• Balance expenses, resource planning and reserves up to $1,000,000.
• Coach and develop your team and manage performance to achieve department goals.
