Job summary

Qualifications

  • Good communication and teamwork to coordinate with others.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting or finishing by sandblasting.
  • Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed during blasting.
  • Operate sandblasting equipment and adjust settings as needed.
  • Inspect equipment, materials and surfaces before/after blasting.
  • Maintain accurate records of blasting jobs.
  • Collaborate with painters and supervisors to support project goals.
  • Communicate with clients about the process and maintenance.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Prepare surfaces for painting or other types of finishing by performing sandblasting operations.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are being followed during the sandblasting process.
  • Operate sandblasting equipment and machinery, including adjusting the necessary settings and maintaining equipment.
  • Inspect equipment, materials, and surfaces before and after the sandblasting process to ensure that the job has been completed to the required standard.
  • Keep accurate records of all sandblasting jobs.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as painters or supervisors, to ensure that the sandblasting process complements and supports the overall project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients or customers, answering any questions they may have about the sandblasting process and providing recommendations for maintenance or further work.
