Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Bilingual Security Guard in Manitoba, Canada. You’ll excel in customer service, perform access control, patrols and incident response in a broadcasting environment while coordinating with emergency teams.

Fluency in French and English is required, with the ability to work afternoon shifts and maintain professionalism on all shifts. You will be issued a uniform, have opportunities for career growth, and GardaWorld Academy supports ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification an asset.
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors.
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor, treating every person with respect.
• CCTV cameras monitoring and operation.
• Monitor and control special events crowd traffic and room access.
• Take actions during emergency situations as per GardaWorld and USB protocols.
• Access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal.
• Complete Daily reports and Incident reports.
• Provide assistance and evacuate the building(s) in case of emergency.
