GardaWorld is seeking an Education Institution Security Guard in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The role focuses on customer service within a university setting, with access control and patrol duties to maintain a safe environment.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (08:00–15:00), uniform provided, and opportunities for career growth through GardaWorldAcademy.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification an asset.
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in the security industry (asset).
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors.
• Manage access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal.
• Perform regular site patrol with G-track device, locking and unlocking building, investigating and reporting incidents and hazards.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment.
• CCTV cameras monitoring and operation.
• Assist site staff and visitors to ensure safe and secure environment.
• Monitor and control special events crowd traffic and room access.
• Take actions during emergency situations as per GardaWorld and USB protocols.
• Complete Daily reports and Incident Reports.
