GardaWorld is seeking a Facility Protection Security Guard in Regina, Saskatchewan. You will welcome visitors, verify identities, control access and patrol interiors and exteriors while maintaining exceptional customer service. The role involves monitoring CCTV, documenting incidents, and coordinating with emergency responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada
• First aid certification is an asset
• Proficient with basic phone and computer skills
• Full Saskatchewan driving license (last 12 months)
• Clear driving abstract (last 12 months)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience as security guard at high-profile site is an asset
• Leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work in a stressful environment

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, provide guidance with excellent customer service in person and by phone
• Control access at entry/exit points using electronic systems or checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence and identify risks
• Monitor and document security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity or operational issues
• Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, coordinate with emergency responders
• Secure doors and enforce regulations and city by-laws at all times
• Protect client assets from theft, vandalism, trespassing, and safety concerns
• Document all activities and communicate concerns with accuracy and timeliness
• Foster positive staff relations and act as first point of contact during emergencies

Responsibilities for Facility Protection Security Guard

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification,issue and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Control access at entry and exit pointsusing electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrolsof stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order.
• Monitor and document all security systems and CCTVfor suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needsrelatedto security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assetsagainst theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive.
• Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns.
• Foster positive staff relationshipsand act as the first point of contact during emergencies to ensure a coordinated and professional response

Qualifications for Facility Protection Security Guard
