Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3 years of underwriting experience.
  • $1,000,000+ Life signing authority.
  • Sales and relationship-focused mindset with drive for earning business in a competitive market.
  • Working towards, or completion of FALU, FLMI and ACS designations.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology (physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, imaging, diagnostics, treatments).
  • Understanding how non-medical risks affect mortality (hazards, occupations, lifestyle).
  • Experience with financial reports and AML training.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Position Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Sales and relationship-focused mindset with a drive for earning business and continuing to earn business in this competitive market
  • Working towards, or completion of FALU, FLMI and ACS designations
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology including physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, imaging, diagnostic testing and treatments
  • Strong knowledge in how non-medical risks impact mortality, including hazardous occupations, sports, avocations and lifestyle
  • Experience with financial reports and training in anti-money laundering practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
  • 100,000+ CI authority
  • University or college degree in a related discipline such as medical, research or financial
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Interest in representing the company via external presentations, panels, conferences, etc.
  • Experience in co-signing, referral reviews, mentoring, etc.

Referenced Salary Location CAN, Quebec - Full Time Remote Working Arrangement

Remote Salary range is expected to be between $70,500.00 CAD - $117,500.00 CAD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
