Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to drive process re-engineering, automation, and data transformation in collaboration with Global Treasury Cash Operations and technology teams.
The role emphasizes delivering tech-enabled solutions, leading testing, and proactively pursuing automation opportunities using Gen AI and low-code tools while maintaining high-quality documentation and stakeholder communication.
Provide Business Systems Analysis function by working closely with Global Treasury Cash Operations and technology teams to support process re-engineering, automation, data transformation, system enhancements, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support. Define and refine business requirements and technical specifications to deliver effective technology-enabled solutions that meet business needs. Closely work with the technology teams to explain and clarify the technical specifications and rationale to help create solutions that would meet business needs. Proactively identify, plan and execute automation opportunities leveraging Gen AI, Agentic AI and other low code tools (Power platform, Alteryx etc.) Act as SME and Consultant to Treasury Operations and BU teams to identify opportunities to address business issues and alignment with Treasury strategies Communicate effectively to all levels of the management to report project status and critical issues requiring their attention Create and maintain thorough and accurate project documentation (including functional and technical design specifications) according to the project management methodologies Lead testing by preparing required test plans/matrices and executing functional and system integration testing of the application Project manage small to medium initiatives (as required) according to the established project management methodologies Support ad-hoc analysis to identify root cause of production problems and develop timely solutions Steady state maintenance and enhancement of existing production tools / processes Interact professionally with clients and business areas to provide a high quality of service.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leadership role supporting business systems analysis function involving process re-engineering, transformation, and automation Hands-on experience working with technology teams for developing system solutions Exposure to and/or working knowledge of Gen AI and Agentic AI based solutions Experience with citizen developer tools like Power Apps, Power BI, or Alteryx Sound exposure to working with EDL and creating reporting dashboards Capability to independently learn new systems / technology Exceptional analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Able to translate issues and problems into effective business solutions Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-changing environment Aptitude to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks and manage ambiguity Strong organizational skills (ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks with competing priorities) Comfortable analyzing and organizing large volumes of data.

Referenced Salary Location CAN, Ontario, Toronto, 200 Bloor Street East Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $73,725.00 CAD - $122,875.00 CAD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
