Job summary

Manulife’s Individual Insurance team is seeking a Bilingual Associate, New Business - Individual to support life and critical illness applications. You will input contracts, process documents, and triage inquiries from advisors and clients in both French and English.

The role requires proficiency in Word/Excel, strong typing, and precise written communication. You’ll manage high volumes, adapt quickly, and may work overtime as needed within a hybrid structure in Montreal.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (French & English) is required; able to communicate in English and French for clients outside Quebec.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proven keyboarding skills with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication and ability to correspond concisely with internal teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of work.

Responsibilities

  • Input and prepare life and critical illness insurance applications and contracts, while performing self-checks to ensure accuracy prior to quality control.
  • Print, bind and assemble contracts; review and index documents received from advisors and clients.
  • Triage and prioritize emails in a shared inbox from advisors and various internal and external sources; ensure timely routing, follow-up and resolution.
  • Prepare, package and mail medical information and letters to insurance companies and clients, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and mailing standards.
  • Maintain accuracy and productivity of 98% or better using the online reference tool, job aids, and Excel tracking reports.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, self-motivation and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, with overtime availability.
  • Conduct daily research to identify gaps and potential issues, while managing client service needs and expectations.

Manulife’s Individual Insurance team currently has an opportunity for a Bilingual Associate, New Business - Individual.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Insurance Contract Management: Input and prepare life and critical illness insurance applications and contracts, while performing self-checks to ensure accuracy prior to quality control.
  • Document Processing: Print, bind and assemble contracts, review and index all documents received from advisors and clients.
  • Shared Inbox Management: Triage and prioritize emails received in a shared inbox from advisors and various internal and external sources, ensuring timely routing, follow-up and resolution.
  • Correspondence and Medical Mailing: Prepare, package and mail medical information and letters to insurance companies and clients, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and compliance with mailing standards.
  • Standards Compliance: Maintain accuracy and productivity of 98% or better, using the online reference tool, job aids, and Excel tracking reports.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, self-motivation and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, with availability for overtime.
  • Research and Client Management: Conduct daily research to identify gaps and potential issues, while managing client service needs and expectations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proven keyboarding skills with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to correspond concisely with internal teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of work.

Referenced Salary Location CAN, Quebec, Montreal, 900 Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest. Working Arrangement Hybrid. Salary range is expected to be between $39,225.00 CAD - $65,375.00 CAD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
