Job summary

Consolidated Services Inc., part of the PCL Family, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator - Bilingual to manage payroll for hourly craft employees across multiple provinces, including Quebec. This role requires fluency in French and English, strong attention to detail, and experience with unionized payroll processes.

Based in Edmonton, the position involves collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with government and collective bargaining requirements.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and English both spoken and written.
• Minimum two years of union payroll administration experience including Quebec.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, laws and labour agreements.
• Ability to read and apply collective bargaining agreements to payroll.
• Experience with remittance submissions and year-end reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all employee payroll information to ensure it is current and accurate.
• Processes new hires, changes, terminations, and transfers for hourly craft employees.
• Prepares in-house weekly multi-provincial payroll for hourly craft staff including Quebec.
• Interprets government legislation and collective bargaining agreements for payroll.
• Maintains district payroll system setup as required.
• Reconciles and remits benefits liabilities across multiple agencies.
• Prepares year-end reporting including Relevé1s, T4s, and T2200s.
• Builds strong customer-focused relationships with stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as required.
