Job summary

Altis Technology seeks an IT & Security Analyst in Ottawa to join a membership-focused environment. You will blend frontline IT support with cybersecurity duties, gaining exposure to Defender, Entra ID, and incident response while maintaining secure, reliable systems.

You will work closely with teammates, handling user access, device provisioning, and security tooling while supporting a diverse user community and advancing your security expertise in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, cybersecurity or a related technical environment.
• College diploma in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID and networking concepts including IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, remote support tools, endpoint troubleshooting and Microsoft security technologies.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, SC-900, SC-200 or SC-300 are considered assets.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and French.
• Excellent troubleshooting, organization and customer service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, system logs and dashboards, escalating potential threats and incidents when required.
• Support Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access and Multi-Factor Authentication.
• Provide frontline support for hardware, software, connectivity, authentication and application issues.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, access requests and identity lifecycle activities.
• Configure and deploy laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and software applications.
• Support vulnerability remediation, security awareness initiatives, documentation and technology projects.
