Job summary

ALT Technical in Ottawa is seeking an intermediate System Support Specialist to ensure reliable operation of our IT systems and networks. This role involves troubleshooting, end-user support, applying patches, and maintaining documentation.

You will respond to alerts, monitor platforms, coordinate with teams, and participate in on-call coverage as needed. The ideal candidate has networking knowledge, Windows experience, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Networking equipment (configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance).
• Knowledge of Windows systems.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to monitoring alerts and customer tickets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
• Escalate critical/high issues within SLA guidelines.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide reliable technical support and maintain systems documentation.
• Monitor internal platforms using monitoring tools.
