Job summary

MNP is seeking an Accounting Support Specialist to support and utilize accounting technologies for French-speaking team members across Canada. This role provides technical and escalation support for accounting software and works with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.

You will help improve processes, document resolutions, and contribute to user-focused training and release notes while building strong relationships with stakeholders in a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience with accounting & assurance applications and/or financial services such as working paper systems, bookkeeping or payroll.
• Experience with CRM/ERP platforms, or enterprise productivity tools.
• Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English.
• Post-secondary education in accounting, technology, business systems, IT, or at least 2 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into language understandable by non-technical users.
• Demonstrated customer-service mindset, a collaborative approach and ability to build professional relationships.
• Experience with one or more of the following is considered a strong asset: Accounting or assurance workflows; Tax preparation software; ITSM platforms and structured support processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and escalation support for accounting & assurance application software
• Assess incoming requests and resolve or elevate issues promptly to ensure effective support and business delivery
• Build strong professional working relationships with various stakeholders and team members
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and workarounds in the knowledge base
• Assist in preparing release notes, training materials, and user-focused documentation
• Develop a strong understanding of application functionality from the user’s perspective to improve business processes
• Identify recurring issues and collaborate with the development or product teams to improve system stability and usability
• Contribute ideas to enhance operational workflows, user experience, or support processes
• Escalate complex or unclear issues with thorough documentation and clarity
